Over the last few years we have found that it is increasingly more difficult to harvest as much honey from our beehives as we used to. The effects of climate change and the ever unreliable weather patterns have meant that trees are not yielding the same amount of nectar as in the past. Bees have less flying time due to the abnormal cold temperatures that they have to adjust to. The imminent arrival of the Varroa mite will make it even more difficult for the bees and threaten their very existence in Victoria. We will increase our prices to $15.00 per 500gm glass jar and $80 per 3kg bucket for all new season’s honey.
